Do not Weep, Do not cry, shed no tears…..

A feeling of trust, an expectation of something, the optimism, a hidden but most potent, strongest and brightest part of life is Hope. This can make you live longer than any vitamin, protein or fiber can. Browning, Shelley, Shah Bhitaii, Bulleh Shah all sing the songs of hopes and Love and their poetry depicts the characters who never loose hope and whatever the outcome, they win.

“Don’t cry, don’t weep and fret; shed no tears of dismay; Whatever days appear, O let them pass away,-

For after sorrow, joy O Marui, comes to stay;

Desert maid know, your chains by destiny’s own sway; Are moved, and now you may throw them into the fire.”

— Bhitaii (translated by Elsa Kazi).

Was it not for the hope, hearts would break and nothing could manage the collateral but love and hope. Hope gives the Bravery to the goal and it’s attainment. The moment, the goal becomes more distant, hope gives you feathers, and takes you closer to the goal. It is a seed that gives life to the cause even in a barren soul.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

— Emily Dickinson
